Michael Schumacher was world champion of Formula One seven times on Wednesday expressed support Frenchman Jean Todt in his campaign to replace Max Mosley as head of the International Automobile Federation (FIA).
Schumacher said (40 years) on his Web site, "I am fully convinced that Todd is the right man to become the next president of the FIA."
Schumacher did not support the wishes of the public as a surprise as they worked together in the Italian team for 15 years.
Schumacher explained, "It is time for some change, but change must come through carefully as the experience of people in the Jane and that can in terms of composition of the group was capable of providing appropriate work true needs, and on the other hand will be able to make a change."
It was confirmed that Mosley would like the former President of Ferrari is best suited to succeed him, and ask about whether the other candidate for president Larry Vattanin has the necessary ingredients for this post.
Will be elected the new president of the FIA on 23 October in Paris.
